Long training - Course content
Students start with a two month course during which they are introduced to the basics of working with the medium. Then, they specialise in glass techniques with training courses.

Students start with a two month course (which includes a two week training course in a workshop) during which they are introduced to the basics of working with the medium.

Students may choose two of these three optional modules :

- Furnace Hot Glass Blowing :
Marvering, Moulding, Colouring, Free blown hollow forms

- Glass Decoration and Glass Forming :
Kiln Forming, Fusing, Sandblasting, Pate de Verre,

Assessment takes place by examination at the end of each module in Fine Art and by project presentation.

Beside these two modules students attend courses on glass techniques and Fine Art, and also carry out a feasibility study for submitting a professional project which may, subject to approval of a commission, provide a solid foundation for the setting up of their own businesses.

Specialisation

Student specialise in one of the three optional modules for several months, including a few weeks in a studio placement in France or throughout Europe.

- Stage 1 runs from January to July and students can take the CAP in June.
- Stage 2 runs from early September to July and students can take professional modules of the BMA in June.

When choosing to specialise in Hot Glass, students are required to attend the courses of the two stages successively, which represents a 18 month full-time study.
