The Pole Verrier is a non profit group dedicated to providing and maintaining an international forum of communication for artists, artisans, designers, architects and manufacturers working in the field of glass.
Over 12,000 individuals the world over are currently receiving news from us via this newsletter, and every month over 35,000 internet surfers visit our website at  www.idverre.net.
At no cost to you we will publicize all your special events (exhibitions, new websites, the launching of new product lines, ...), so please send us your announcements and photographs which we will be only too glad to publish on our website www.idverre.net.
From your end, you can help us expand our e-mailing list : the wider our circulation, the more effective your announcements will be.

Silvano Tagliapietra foundation
Our dear Venetian friend Silvano Tagliapietra dedicated much of his time during the last years of his life to helping young glass artists from around the world to work and study in the foremost glassworks of Murano. The Silvano Tagliapietra Association now bears his name. The Silvano Tagliapietra Associationís goal is to manage a scholarship fund that will keep his philosophy of sharing and cooperation alive. The foundation is supported by gifts and the sale of glass pieces donated by artists and crystal works.
A charitable auction on iencheres.com, organized by the Silvano Tagliapietra Foundation and professional auction houses takes place every year around the time of the Feast of Saint Nicholas (December 6th) -- the patron saint of Lorraine and the glassmakers of Murano.

International Design Competition
"Design for Europe" is a biennial competition for creativity in interior design. It is organised by the Interieur Foundation and the Interieur Design Academy I/De/A, located in Kortrijk, Belgium.
This will take place in the Kortrijk Xpo venue, from 13 to 22 October 06. The competition jury will award a number of prizes, and the winners will be announced during the inauguration of the exhibition at the Biennial.

Concours Littala
An international glassblowing competition will take place in the glassmaking city of Littala on June 10th 2006. The cost of the trip must be paid by the employer or the participant. Accomodation will be paid for by Littala. The winner will be awared a trip in Europe.

European Center for Research and Training in the Glass Arts : CERFAV
Established in 1991, the glass center has rapidly gained recognition among professional glassmakers and artists by offering extensive facilities and a dozen superbly equipped studios. It provides :

Short courses,
One day courses in glass techniques
CERFAV was also designated as the National Center for Innovation of the glass trades. Its mission is to monitor this sector in connection with professional associations and organizations and key players in the glass industry.
Revelor
Revelor (Réseau Verrier Lorrain) is a network of 14 laboratories and centers, each related with something in glass research and development.
Inside this network, every field of knowledge about glass can be approached :
- Physics and chemistry of glasses and ceramics
- Treatment and characterization of surfaces
- Characterization and modelling of thermic transfers ans mechanical behavior
- Geologic analyzes
- Structural studies and characterization
- Implementation of new glass processes

Wokmedia is a London-based collective of designers whose work encompasses products, furniture, film, graphics and design for new media.
