Fall projects
This September will be regulated by two main events in Lorraine.
First of all, the VITRA symposium will bring together a score of European glass-training centers in Nancy and Vannes-le-Châtel, from 24th to 28th of September.
The goals of this demonstration are to structure the European glass schools network, and mostly to discover a wonderful learning tool to which 14 international renowned glassmakers have collaborated.
To know some more, see www.idverre.net/vitra/EN/symposium.html
Another project is the inauguration of the website www.jardindecristal.com, September the 25th. This French site is totally devoted to glass, to crystal, and to the region of Lorraine. A lot of glass experts have cooperate to it (historians, researchers, academics, journalists…). It looks forward to your visit!

Happy reading...

VITRA Symposium from 24th to 28th September 2007 in Nancy and Vannes-le-Châtel - France
VITRA is a virtual learning tool conceived to help European glass training centres and glass specialists to share glass-making techniques and acquire the same skills. As a multilingual training device, VITRA gives easy access to self-training video courses. The teaching is centered around the skills and know-how of the trade and is completed with various documentary and multimedia resources.
The Symposium will give VITRA Members the opportunity to consider extending the VITRA Project to other Glass European Schools willing to share their own skills and to adopt the concept of the Project.
