Caroline Ouellette excels at combining three different hot glass techniques to create her sensuous forms. The honey-like quality of glass in its molten form is the perfect medium for Ouellette to create shapes that bend, twist, and drip. Ripe fruit seems to explode into maturity and let its seeds gush forth.
Colourful and curvy, intrinsically feminine, Caroline Ouellette's pieces heighten the senses of their observers, filling their eyes with heady colours and their fingertips with varying textures.

This original concept, created by the ESGAA, European Studio Glass Art Association, in 2006, consist in creating a synergy of artistic interest at a local scale, using skills, know-how and needs in glass art.

The Gerrit Rietveld Academie seeks to educate around 950 talented young people annually to become independent visual artists or designers with the help of 250 staff members. We are looking for a Technical teacher (one day a week) Responsibilities: Teaching students all the technical aspects of working with glass, including hand blown glass, kiln work, lamp work and cold working techniques. To teach the students what the artistic contents and the professional practice of the field are by means of individual evaluations.Facilitate the production of glass works of art and glass designs of students from outside the department.You are responsible for the workshop budget, the ordering of all materials required for the department and the maintenance of machinery and equipment.
