It- Obituary: Ettorre Sottsass
The father of the typewriter 'Valentine' for Olivetti, of 'Ki' for Baccarat passed on.
The architect designer Ettore Sottsass has died end of December in Milan aged 90.
Ettore Sottsass has worked for Baccarat in 2002, he said : ...I was very happy that Baccarat asked me to create a new collection in crystal. I was very happy because, for me, Baccarat has always been a 'myth', as man says the myth of an rare industry in which predominates the sense of quality that craftsmen have always more or less looked for...

Fr-Marseille-Pecha Kucha Night
Pecha Kucha or the art of the gab !
It's in Japanese, the translation would be 'chit chat' in English, 'bavarder' in French and 'tchatcher' in Marseillais ! (Marseille is a town in the south of France)
Created by Klein Dytham Architecture, for the SuperDeluxe Club in Tokyo in 2003, the Pecha Kucha Night has dispatch all around the world. International network of free creators, it's a platform for exchanges and interdisciplinary meetings.
PKN is opened to professionals, press and public. It's well organized and avoids long boring speeches.
Each participant has carte blanche, but is only allowed to show 20 images and has 20 seconds for each. So it can't last more than 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Sarah Carrière-Chardon, curator, organizes the sessions in Marseille. The next one will be the 29th of February, from 20:00 on.
